Plan of Correction: Background check was obtained in a timely manner and the rules of the state were followed. However, the staff member submitted the original request.. We are repeating the background check per DOE request and the office has submitting it.

Plan of Correction: We had been told previously that for Toddlers cabinets above the sink did not require safety locks since the children were too little to get to it. However, we have now added safety locks per the new DOE requirement.

Plan of Correction: We have approval from parents to apply Aquafor should the child need it. We do not have diapers in our environment so it is used rarely. Per DOE?s new request we have removed the diaper ointment from the classroom.

Plan of Correction: We have a process to date and mark lunch boxes brought in each morning, however this one was missed. We have trained staff and reminded them to do a thorough check each morning.

Plan of Correction: In an AMI Montessori classroom, we provide children the opportunity to take responsibility for themselves. Ongoing lessons given to children to ensure that children do not rock their chairs. Staff will remain nearby to provide oversight.

Plan of Correction: Fiore did a total of three reference checks although DOE only requires two. However, while we obtained one reference prior to start of employment, the second and third ones were done post start date, We will ensure to get two references prior to start date going forward.
