Inspector Notes

A complaint inspection was conducted on January 17, 2024, from 9:22 A.M.-11:34 A.M. A complaint was received in the Office of Child Care Health and Safety (Northern Regional Office) on January 16, 2023. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, and special care and emergencies. A total of one child record was reviewed, one staff interviewed, a written statement, and injury report were reviewed.

The information gathered during the inspection did not determine preponderance of evidence. Therefore, the complaint is not valid.

There was one violation not related to the complaint that was not in compliance with applicable standards or laws, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of documentation and staff interviews, it was determined that the center failed to inform the department's representative of any injury to a child that occurred while the child was under the supervision of the center and required outside medical attention within two business days. Evidence: On a January 5, 2024, child A sustained an injury while at the center which required outside medical attention. The center did not notify the department regarding this incident within two days of its occurrence.
