Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in safe conditions. The green ground covering on the playground is coming up in several areas creating trip hazards. Additionally, there are areas of fencing that have areas of rotting splitting and or cracked wood with jagged edges within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Ground covering will be removed, replaced or repaired.
Standard 8VAC20-780-530-A-1
Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as appropriate to the age of the children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration. The CPR certification for Staff #1 did not include an in-person competency demonstration.
Plan of Correction: The staff member will obtain the required CPR training with an in person component.
