Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 2/6/2024 from 10:45 am to 11:23 am. There were three children in care, ages three years to four years, in one group under the care of one staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed three children?s records, one staff record, and other program records. The children were observed in free play indoors and having snacks.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to have a person trained and certified in first aid present at the child day center whenever children are present.
EVIDENCE:
Staff 1 is not certified in first aid, and three children were present at the center under the care of Staff 1. BLS (CPR and AED) certification for Staff 1 expires 4/2025, however, phone interview with an American Heart Association employee confirmed that this does not include first aid.

On the day of the inspection, the most recent Sworn Disclosure statement was dated 8/3/2004, the most recent Central Registry check was dated 11/6/2027, and the most recent fingerprint eligibility letter was dated 8/15/2018.

Plan of Correction: A new Sworn Disclosure statement was done on 2/7/2024, and the Central Registry check is being requested on 2/8/2024. An appointment for fingerprints is being made this week.
