Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/30/2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 1:30pm and ended at 3:10pm. There were 8 staff with 46 children in 5 classrooms at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed playing with play dough, blocks building towers and other organized activities. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, fire drill log were reviewed. The physical plant and was inspected. Center management stated that there was no medication kept on-site for review. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and interview, all staff did not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence: Staff #1 record does not contain certification for current CPR. Center management confirmed that the staff has not completed the in-person portion of the certification exam.
Plan of Correction: We have a training before the end of November.
