Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on December 6, 2023, from 10:15am-10:55 am. At the time of entrance, ( 12 ) children ( 35) points were in care with ( 3 ) caregivers present. The inspector reviewed 1 new and 3 other children?s records and 5 caregiver/household member records. Children were observed playing with toys and story time. No medications were on site. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice.

Based on household record review, a household member 14 years of age has not obtained a search of the central registry.
Evidence: Household #1, date of birth 8/3/2009 has not obtained a search of the central registry.
Plan of Correction: A central registry search will be sent and the results will be forwarded to the licensing inspector.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
based on observation, the emergency evacuation procedures have not been practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.
Evidence: Fire drills have not been conducted in the months of August, September, October and November of 2023. The last documented fire drill was dated July 5, 2023.
Plan of Correction: Provider will conduct monthly fire drills.
