Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on June 27, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:35 p.m. There were six children in care ranging in age from fourteen months to six years old with one staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three children's records, one staff record and two household member records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-180-A
Based on review of documentation and interview, the provider failed to ensure there was documentation of each adult household member having a current Tuberculosis (TB) screening or test every two years. Evidence: Household member #2 and Household member #3 last TB screenings were dated 2/16/2022.

Based on observation, and interview, the provider failed to ensure that trampolines were not used during hours children were in care.
Evidence:
1. There was child sized trampoline in the child care area.

Based on review of documentation, the provider failed to ensure all children's records contained required information. Evidence: Child #1, first day of attendance 6/11/2024 and Child #2, first day of attendance 6/11/2024 did not have a complete second emergency contact that was not a parent.
