8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 09/21/2022 from 9:00am to 10:15am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 4 children were present with 2 caregivers. The programming area, outdoor play area, menus, Provider, Assistant and Household member records, 4 children?s records, attendance, emergency drills, injury reports, and emergency supplies were reviewed. There were no medications onsite at the time of inspection. Children were observed participating in literacy activities, math activities, and doing puzzles. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. All caregivers present were current in certification for MAT, CPR and First Aid.

A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
