Inspector Notes

Complaints were received on July 12, 2022 and August 4, 2022 and were initiated on the same dates regarding inappropriate discipline and nonoperational equipment. During the investigations children and staff records were reviewed. Interviews were conducted in-person and via telephone. Additionally, classroom observations were made. The information gathered does not support the allegations and complaints a are found to be not valid. However, a violation was found in the area of programs.

Based on observation the center failed to ensure that children under two years of age do not use pillows or filled comforters.
Evidence:
1 - In the toddler room Child #1, a 19 month old and Child #2, a 22 month old, were observed nappling with under filled comforter covers.
2 - Child #2, a 22 month old child, was napping with a pillow.
3 - Staff present in the room confirmed that the children were not yet two years old.
