Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 9/9/2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:50 am and ended at 12:45 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 75 children present and 16 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center is required to keep a current list of all known allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in each room or area where children are present. The list must be dated and kept confidential. The lists in the toddler 2 and toddler 3 rooms were posted in plain sight.

Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled that contains all of the required information. The records for Child #3, #4, and #5, were missing the first date of attendance.
Plan of Correction: Start dates will be added today.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
A written care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Child #3 has a diagnosed food allergy and did not have a written care plan in their file.
