Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 11/7/2024 and completed on 11/7/2024. The on-site inspection began at 1:07 pm and ended at 2:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 3 children present and 1 caregivers; the point total was 7. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records, 1 caregivers, and 1 household member(s) records on-site. This inspection included document review, a tour of the home, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 11/19/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Areas and furnishings of the family day home outside shall be maintained in a safe condition.

The trim around one of the patio doors was splintered and had chipping paint.
In the outdoor play area, the head of a nail was protruding from the ground near a deteriorating wooden log, creating a tripping hazard adjacent to the play swing.
There were two holes dug into the ground in the outdoor play area, creating a tripping hazard near the play swing.
Plan of Correction: Outside furnishings will be amended and maintained in safe conditions. The splintered patio door has been fixed and re-painted. The nail is no longer protruding. the holes have been covered.

REPEAT VIOLATION

Small electrical appliances were not unplugged when not being used.

An electric water kettle was observed plugged in when not in use.
