Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on November 18, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 2:10 pm and ended at 4:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were twenty-eight children present and five staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
(Repeat violation) The diapering surface shall be nonabsorbent. The diapering pad in the infant room had two tears causing it be absorbent.
Plan of Correction: Two diaper pads will be ordered to have an additional one available in the future.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-D
The center shall conduct an evacuation drill monthly. An evacuation drill was not conducted in June 2024.
Plan of Correction: Emergency drills will be re-written and make sure monthly drills are completed and documented.
