Inspector Notes
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 71 children with 24 staff were onsite today. Observation of all 9 classrooms was made. In the infant classrooms, the staff had placed the children on their laps as books were read. In the 2A classroom the children were listening to "When Sophie Gets Angry" being read and staff talking about feelings. Children were observed making snowflakes out of felt fabric and sparkles. The completed projects were drying on the counter top as the children transitioned to other morning activities. Tables were observed being sanitized by staff as they prepared for lunch. Children in the 3C classroom was observed getting their coats, gloves and hats on to transition to the outside playground and expressed excitement over the morning snow that had fallen. Medication was onsite and reviewed. A total of 4 staff files, 5 children's records, infant daily logs and injury reports were reviewed. Some violations were found today and a corrective action was provided. This inspection occurred between 9:20am and 12:10pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. A cabinet in the 1C classroom which contains the step on receptacle for diaper disposal was missing a handle.

In the 1A classroom, Child #5 was asleep and was observed being placed on their side in a crib.
Evidence:
A medication authorization located in the 3B classroom did not include the duration of the authorization.
