Inspector Notes
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 08/22/2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 147 children were present with 19 caregivers. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 5 staff records, 5 child records, 8 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in art, reading, napping and transitioning from nap. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. There were adequate staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, and DHO training. Staff to child ratios were in compliance during the inspection.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
