Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/18/2024 from 11:15am to 12:55pm as the result of a self-reported incident where an infant was fed a bottle of breast milk belonging to another infant. Staff were interviewed, the classroom was observed, and documentation was reviewed. One violation was given as the result of the incident. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on interviews, the center did not ensure the care, protection and guidance of all children in care.

Evidence: On 3/13/24, Child #1 (6 months old) was fed Child #2?s bottle containing breast milk. The child consumed approximately 2 oz of breast milk before Staff #1 was notified of the mistake by another staff member.
Plan of Correction: Staff will be re-trained on feeding and bottle procedures in place to prevent this from happening.
