During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on and completed on 2/11/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:40am and ended at 10:30am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were ten children present and two caregivers; the point total was 30. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and two caregiver/household members records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-240-A
'Areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, shall be
maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition. The children's play area in the basement room was not in a safe condition when there was a heavy television balanced and not secured on top of a cabinet, above where children were playing. The television was at risk of falling and was a hazard to the children in care.
Plan of Correction: The television was removed during the inspection and will be secured to the wall that weekend.
