Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on completed on 09/04/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:50 AM and ended at 11 AM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 16 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records onsite. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of staff records, the center failed to ensure that all staff within 90 days of hire completed the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course.

Evidence

Staff # 1 and # 2 did not have documentation of the completed orientation training.
Plan of Correction: The licensee will have the staff to complete the 10 hour training ASAP.
