Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 9:15 am-10:30 am. There were a total of 17children with three staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, engaged in group activities and handwashing. A selection of staff and children records and other documents were reviewed. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on record review and interview, the center did not have at least one staff member on duty that obtained within the last three years instruction in performing the daily health observation of children.
Evidence:
1. There was no documentation of current Daily Health Observation training in the staff records reviewed.
2. Staff #2 stated that they did not have anyone current in Daily Health Observation Training.
Plan of Correction: At least one staff member will obtain Daily Health Observation Training.
