Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/25/2023, a subsequent review of records was conducted remotely on 6/5/23. The HR staff was out on emergency leave.
The center had 106 children present with 20 classroom staff at the time of the inspection. The children were observed napping, having snack, peaches and yogurt, playing, having story time and playing on the playground. Lots of interaction between staff and children. The center is full of materials and centers for the children to explore. The classrooms have planted gardens with lots of vegetables and herbs. Violations
3Evidence: Staff 1, does not have clearances from Washington D,C where they have lived in the last 5 years.
Staff 2 filled out the sworn disclosure statement incorrectly, indicating that they had not lived in a different state, other then Virginia in the last 5 years, they currently reside in Maryland.
We will also make sure the staff corrects the sworn disclosure statement.
Evidence: Staff 1 was hired on 1/23/23 and the TB test in the file is from 10/21/22.
Evidence: The center failed to conduct a drill in December 2022.
