Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:45am-12:10pm. There were 48 children in the direct care and supervision of 12 staff. A sample of 4 children?s records, and 4 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed napping, singing, engaged in an art project, playing on the playground, and playing in the classrooms. One new staff had been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the director. Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

1) The closet which kept cleaning supplies was unlocked in the "Preschool 2" classroom.
2) Cleaning supplies were located above the changing table in the "Preschool 1" classroom.
