Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/2/24. At the time of the inspection there were 62 children in care and 15 staff members. Children were observed during music, story time, lunch, and naptime. Records were reviewed for five children and three staff members. Medication, evacuation drills and other required records and postings were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Based on observation and interview the center did not ensure to implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.

Evidence:
1.The was no documentation for an evacuation drill for the month of March (2024).
2.The owner acknowledged that an evacuation drill for the month of March had not been completed.
Plan of Correction: This was an administrative oversight. An extra fire drill will be conducted to make-up for the one missed in March.
