A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on October 5, 2023. There were 35 children present with 11 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure that staff who worked directly with children annually completed the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence:
1. The record of staff #4 (employed 2/08/21) contained a health and training certificate dated 5/30/22. The record of staff #5 (employed 2/05/19) contained a health and training certificate dated 5/30/22, The records did not contain a 2023 annual health and safety training certificate.
2. The vendor acknowledged that the 2023 training had not been completed.
