Inspector Notes
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. 28 children with 5 staff were present. The half day program was transitioning to parent pick up. One class was outside on the blacktop riding tricycles and playing with equipment available to them. Two staff were outside engaged with the children and strategically placed to provide adequate supervision. Equipment is stored inside the building located to the right of the blacktop space. Staff were observed accompanying children inside each time a child wanted to access a new toy or piece of equipment. The full day program was finishing lunch. Some children were seated at tables finishing their packed lunches and some children were grouped on the carpeted area. Staff were observed sanitizing tables and positioning cots for nap time. Interviews with the after school program staff was conducted and walk thru of all the classrooms to include those unoccupied was completed. A total of 4 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed and determined complete. This inspection occurred between 12pm and 1:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation today.
