Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/31/2022 and concluded on 2/1/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 13 children present, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation it was determined the center did not ensure that all areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, were maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. In the pre-K class there was a dangling cord from the radio on top of a book case to the outlet, presenting a potential hazard to the children in care.
2. Staff confirmed this cord was not secured.
Plan of Correction: Staff will ensure all cords are secured.
