Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and interviews.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 08/10/2021 and concluded on 08/23/2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 36 children present with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of three staff records and interview, the center did not ensure one staff member had a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.

Evidence: 1) The record for Staff #1, hired on 06/07/21, did not contain the results of a central registry finding. 2) During interview, a member of management reported the central registry finding for Staff #1 had not been received within 30 days of employment. The results were received on 08/10/21, but the center did not have documentation of the finding.
Plan of Correction: Staff #1 is no longer employed by the center. In the future, the center will make sure the results are received on time each time a central registry is requested.
