The center may administer prescription medication that would normally be administered by a parent or guardian to a child provided the center has an authorization to give the medication and that medication has the prescription label, are in the original box with the name of the child as well as the dose.
The center has a child that is taking a medication, the parents bring the medication in syringes, no needles, premeasured. With a separate syringe with chocolate flavoring. The medication is not in the original container and does not have the name of the child or the dose.
The authorization for the medication is for Loudoun county public schools so it does if authorization for the staff to give the medication.
