Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today. There were 27 children present with 3 staff supervising. The physical plant, accident logs, attendance logs, fire inspection report, menu's, first aid kit, medications and authorizations, children's records, staff records and emergency preparedness procedures were reviewed. The children were observed working on crafts, playing board games and talking in small groups. Areas of non-compliance were cited on the Violation Notice. Based on observation, the center failed to obtain all required kit supplies.

Evidence:
The first aid kit contained only one triangular bandage.
Plan of Correction: I will contact the office and request an additional triangular bandage.

Based on a review of records, the emergency plan was not reviewed and updated annually,

Evidence:
The review date on the Emergency Plan was October 2021.
Plan of Correction: I will contact the main office and locate the most recent EEP reviewed and will post the most current plan reviewed.

Based on a review of children's records, the center failed to obtain all required documentation for each child enrolled.

Evidence:
Child #5's record does not contain documentation of a place of employment for each parent who has custody.
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents for the information and will add it to the child records.
