Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted today between 7:30am and 8:30am. There were 11 children present with 2staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION
All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of
employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate
to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in person
competency demonstration.

Staff #1, who had been actively working at the center for the past 17 months, did not have a current certification in CPR.
Plan of Correction: Staff has completed the training, but we are having trouble obtaining the certificate. We will keep trying to get a copy.
