Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/16/2023. There were 7 children present and 4staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The Inspector reviewed a sample of children?s and staff, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a record review the center did not ensure all staff had the required background checks.
Evidence:
Staff #1 did not have the results of a repeat fingerprinting 5 years from the last one dated 07/09/2018.
Plan of Correction: The director/owner will ensure staff #1 makes an appointment to obtain fingerprints and will send a copy of the confirmation to the inspector.
Standard 8VAC20-780-260-A
Based on a record review the center did not ensure an annual fire inspection.
Evidence:
The last fire inspection of the center was dated 09/13/2022. The director confirmed the center did not have a current fire inspection.
Plan of Correction: The owner/director will call the Fire Marshall today to schedule an inspection.
