Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-340-A
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure that when staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care and protection.
Evidence:
1. In the 2 year old classroom, Staff #2 was observed spraying sanitizer on the table where two children were sitting.
2. One of the two children sitting at the table placed their hands on the wet sanitizer solution immediately after it was sprayed.
3. Staff #2 confirmed spraying sanitizer on the table while two children were sitting at the table.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Staff #1, Director/Owner will ensure that staff are trained in sanitizing the tables and areas appropriately and ensure it will not happen again. Moving forward, Director will also train staff during orientation on how to clean tables when children are present.
