Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated on 04/19/2024 at 10:30 am and completed on 04/19/2024 at 12:20 pm. At the time of entrance there were 27 preschool children in care with 7 teaching staff.
Children were observed during morning program time which included circle time and outdoor play. Lunch time was additionally reviewed. Records were reviewed for 6 children and 5 staff.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. This violation was reviewed with administrative staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Violations
1Based on record review and interview, the center failed to obtain an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence:
1. The most recent fire inspection, from the Norfolk Fire Marshall, was conducted on 07/03/2019.
2. Administrative staff stated that this was the most recent fire inspection for the facility.
