Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/02/2022 and concluded on 12/06/2022. There were 56 children present, ranging in ages from6 months to 4 years, with 18 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed/updated.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Violations

Based on observation and staff interview, the applicant did not ensure sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120 degrees F.

Evidence:
1. The handwashing sink in the Infant classroom, the running water temperature was 64.2 degrees F.
2. The handwashing sink in the Two year old classroom, the running water temperature was 65.4 degrees F.
3. Staff #3 confirmed that the facility had been without warm/hot running water in the classrooms since June 2022.
Plan of Correction: I will contact our maintenance person again to see if they will contact the plumber and I will reach out to the landlord to see if they are able to get someone to fix the hot water issue.
