Inspector Notes
Conducted an unannounced inspection at 10:45am. Observed 120 children + 23 direct-care staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed in a variety of activities to include: painting and other art projects, science, word/name recognition, story time, playing with indoor toys, active outdoor play, and eating lunch. Infants were being held, fed, having tummy-time on the floor, and napping. Staff were actively engaged with the children and activities. Lunch served included: grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, fruit, and milk. Classrooms were found to be clean and well supplied with toys + equipment for the children. The school is participating in the State VQB5 quality program. Recordkeeping was in good order. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov
