Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
(Repeat) Staff are required to obtain, within 90 days of employment, certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care to include an in-person competency demonstration. Staff #1did not have CPR certification which is overdue by 3 months. Staff #2 did not have CPR certification which is overdue by 3 days. Staff #6did not have CPR certification which is overdue by 7 months. Staff #7 did not have CPR certification which is overdue by 17 months.
Plan of Correction: Staff #1, staff #2, staff #6 and staff #7 will research availability and enroll in the next scheduled local classes to obtain their First Aid and CPR certification.
