Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A code compliance inspection was initiated on 3/22/2021 and concluded on 4/14/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 20 children present and four staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on interviews and review of staff records the center failed to obtain a fingerprint background check through Fieldprint.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 1 has a hire date of January 2021. She has a Virginia State Police fingerprint background check dated 2/25/2021, however, there is no Fieldprint fingerprint background check on file.
Plan of Correction: Staff # 1 was scheduled for a Fieldprint fingerprint background check. The center will ensure that all staff have the Fieldprint fingerprint background check completed.
