Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on October 20, 2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:20am and ended at 12:50pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 105 children present and 22 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe ad operable condition.

In the three year old classroom, there was peeling paint located on the wall under the window in the back of the classroom.
Plan of Correction: A work order will be placed immediately to touch up the peeling paint in the classroom.

Repeat Violation

Prepared infant formula shall be refrigerated, dated and labeled with the child's name.

Two bottles in the refrigerator were not dated in the infant classroom.
Plan of Correction: Staff will be retrained on labeling bottles completely. Teachers will check bottles at the time of arrival to ensure bottles are completely labeled.

Repeat Violation

Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled which shall contain required information.

The record for Child #5 did not have documentation of child updates and confirmation of up to date information in the child's record.
Plan of Correction: The parent will review the child's emergency contact information and document the record today. Moving forward, children's records will be checked monthly to ensure information is up to date.
