Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-530-A
REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that at least one staff in each classroom or area where children are present had current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and current certification in first aid.

Evidence:
Staff #1 and Staff #2, who were supervising a classroom, did not hold a current CPR and First Aid certification.
Plan of Correction: Moving forward, the classrooms will either combine in the evenings or the director will step into a room so at least one person is certified. A class will be scheduled for all others to get certified.
