Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 21, 2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of entrance, 5 children (11pts) were in care with two staff members present. Children were observed during circle time, engaged in group activities, handwashing, and diaper changing. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Based on record review and interview, all caregivers did not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation appropriate to the ages of the children in care.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 did not have a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Staff #2's record had an expired CPR certificate that expired on 11/16/2022.
2. Staff #2 stated that the CPR certificate was expired and that they have signed up for a class next month.
Plan of Correction: The staff member will complete a CPR class in December.

Based on record review and interview, all caregivers did not have current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 is not current in first aid certification. Staff #2's record contained an expired first aid certificate that expired on 11/16/2022.
2. Staff #2 stated that first aid certification was expired and that they are signed up for a class next month.
Plan of Correction: The staff member will complete a first aid certification class in December.
