Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 4/21/2023. There were 84 children present with 14 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 child records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 11:30 am and concluded at 2:45 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of records and interview, the licensee did not ensure that results of a search of the central registry are obtained for each employee within 30 days of employment.

Evidence:
Seven staff records were reviewed.
The record for staff #6 documented the start of employment as 9/1/2022.
The central registry findings were dated 12/12/2022.
Documentation shows that a second request was sent on 11/16/2022, which is 76 days after the employee began employment.
Plan of Correction: This was an oversight. A second request for the inquiry was sent out as soon as it was discovered.
In the future, if results are not back within 30 days, the agency will be contacted and if a second request must be submitted, it will be done so at that time.
