Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 9/26/2026. The on-site inspection began at 9:35AM and ended at 11:35AM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 52 children present and 12 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Cosmetics, medications, or other harmful agents shall not be stored in areas, purses or pockets that are accessible to children.

There was a purse on the shelf accessible to children in Classroom #4.
Plan of Correction: Teachers will put their personal belongings away.

Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering area is required to have a nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing. For children younger than three years, this surface shall be a changing table or countertop
designated for changing.

The changing pad used for diapering in Classroom #2 had a rip in it and was no longer nonabsorbent.
Plan of Correction: We will put a new changing pad in the room today.
