Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 09/11/2024 in response to a self-report received by the licensing office on 08/28/2024 relating to the program. The inspector reviewed 1 staff record. This inspection included:

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with an applicable standard or law, and a violation is documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for the violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, 9/11/2024, which will be the close of business on 9/18/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Based upon interviews, the facility has not ensured that in order to promote the child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social well-being and growth, staff interact with the child and one another to provide needed comfort and to respect personal privacy and differences in family backgrounds.
Evidence:
Interviews revealed that while changing the diaper of two year old child 1, staff 1 made comments to other staff and within hearing of the children regarding the child's physical attributes.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
We have counseled the teacher on respecting personal privacy and differences in family backgrounds. In addition, the teacher has been assigned to another classroom and will function as an Assistant following instructions from the Lead Teacher.
