During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 11/22/2024 and completed on 11/22/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:55am and ended at 11:20am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 23 children present and 8 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

There was peeling paint on the walls and doorjamb in the infants room and toddlers room.
Plan of Correction: The center will have the areas repaired and repainted.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

A can of disinfectant spray with warning labels, ?Keep out of reach of children,? were in an unlocked cabinet in the toddlers classroom, within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: The disinfectant spray was moved to a locked location during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
A nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing shall be used.

The diaper pad had a tear, exposing an absorbent material, making the diapering surface no longer nonabsorbent.
Plan of Correction: The diaper pad will be replaced with a new one.
