Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/27/23 from 10:15am to 11:10am with the provider. There were eight children in care, ranging in age from three-years to four-years-old, for a total of 16 points. Children were observed sharing their show-and-tell, going outside to play, coming inside and washing hands, having a snack, and doing puzzles. Four child records, the provider record, and two household member records were reviewed. The emergency drill log and attendance were also reviewed; required postings were observed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider reported that she does not administer medication and she understands that she must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
