Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted 9/13/2022 from 9:00am-11:45am. There were 27 children directly supervised by 8 staff and all classrooms were in ratio. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 7 staff records, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The center reported there were no medications on site. Children were observed playing with blocks, building with magnatiles, completing puzzles, and playing on the playground. Infant care including feeding was also observed. There was an adequate number of CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and MAT trained staff on site at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Violations
5Evidence: Staff #5 (Date of Hire: 5/11/2022) has resided in the state of Maryland within the last 5 years and the center has not submitted a search request for the staff's Maryland Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry search.
Evidence: Child #4 (Start Date: 6/27/2022) did not have a physical on file.
Evidence: 1. In the Twos room, there was a bottle of disinfectant on the changing table.
2. In the Threes room, there were bottles of bleach, disinfectant, and air freshener sprays, in an unlocked tall cabinet.
Evidence:
1. On the small playground, there were two slides, approximately 2 feet in height, located on grass and no resilient surfacing was present.
2. On the larger playground with the composite play structure, there were two slides, approximately 3-4 feet off the ground and there was only dirt and no resilient surfacing located at the bottom of the slides.
Evidence: There was no allergy list posted in the Twos, Threes, Infants, or Fours classrooms.
