8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Inspector Notes
A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted on 04/25/2023 between the hours of approximately 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 12 children present with the Provider and 2 assistants for a total of 25 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed cleaning up and preparing to go outside. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and caregiver records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. There were 0 medications on site at this time. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Evidence:
1. Lockdown procedures were not practiced during the 2022 calendar year.
2. Caregiver #2 stated that they did not know about the lockdown drills.
