Violations
1Standard 8VAC20-780-400-B
Based on multiple written statements and staff interview, behavior guidance used with one child was not constructive in nature.
Evidence:
On January 6, 2022 a staff member restrained a child's arms and held the child against the wall of the building when the child began hitting and kicking staff, screaming and throwing snow and ice at children and staff. Additionally, the staff member removed the child's hat and began "tapping" him with it on his leg. Staff stated it was not a hit, but an attempt to distract the child from hitting.
