Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today. All rooms were in ratio during the inspection. Children were observed resting quietly, washing hands, eating snack and transitioning to outdoor play.
2 staff and 6 child records were reviewed (2 for allergy plans only).
Emergency evacuation drills, shelter-in-place drills, injury reports, cot spacing, top and bottom covers during rest, allergy lists and bathroom supplies were all in compliance today.
Violation was reviewed with the Director.

Based on a review of medications, one child's medication authorizations were past the duration of the authorization signed by the physician.
Evidence:
Child #1: Two emergency medication authorizations expired on 10/31/23.
Plan of Correction: The parent has been given new authorization forms. I will ask the parent to sign medication authorizations for 10 days, in order to obtain completed forms from the physician.
