8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS

Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 7/27/2022 with the center director. There were 140 children present with 21 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Based on review of eight staff records, the facility failed to have each staff certified in CPR within 90 days of employment. Evidence: Staff 1 (date of hire 2/2022), Staff 3 (expired 1/2022), and Staff 6 (date of hire 4/18/2022) did not have current certification in CPR.
Plan of Correction: A first aid/CPR class will be scheduled in August.
