Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 8/10/22 from 10:20am to 12:05pm with the provider and two assistants. There were 11 children in care, ranging in age from four-months to three-years-old, for a total of 32 points. Children were observed playing outside- looking for butterflies and picking tomatoes; and coming inside to wash hands, have diapers changed, read books, dance, and start to eat lunch. Five child records, the provider record, two assistant records, one pet record, and one household member record were reviewed. The provider and both assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. Lunch served was refried beans, pasta, green beans, apples, and milk. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
