Violations

Standard 8VAC20-800-50-A
Based on records review and staff interview, the family day home did not keep an accurate written attendance for children in care.
Evidence: The attendance records for 10/7/22 and 10/31/22 showed that at 8:45 am there were 11 children in care. The provider stated that one of the school age children leaves at approximately 8:35 am, and the time documented for both days was incorrect.
Plan of Correction: Attendance will be recorded accurately.
Standard 8VAC20-800-530-C
Based on observation and staff interview, linens for children were not assigned for individual use.
Evidence:
1. The sheets and the cots used for nap time were not labeled or assigned in any other way for each child.
2. The provider stated that the cots with the sheets were not specifically assigned to each child.
Plan of Correction: Linens will be assigned properly and I will ensure that children are not sharing linens.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
Based on record review, emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly.
Evidence: The emergency drill log showed that an evacuation drill was not practiced for the month of October 2022.
Plan of Correction: Drills will be conducted regularly and recorded on log.
